'Habagat', ITCZ to Bring Scattered Rains Over Parts of PH

Two weather systems are affecting the Philippines, bringing rain showers to various regions.

Weather Systems in Effect

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) and the southwest monsoon (Habagat) are the primary weather systems influencing the country.

The ITCZ is characterized by converging winds from different directions, leading to increased cloud formation and rainfall. The Habagat, on the other hand, brings moist air from the southwest, contributing to rainfall, particularly in western parts of the Philippines.

Areas Affected

Several areas are expected to experience scattered rain showers due to these weather systems. Please check the Philippine News Agency website for the latest updates and specific locations.
